Brief info

Originally from El Salvador and one of the founders of LCAM, Nuri has been a child care provider for over 20 years. Nuri served on the Child Care Commission where she advised the Montgomery County Council on challenges and programs to help children, families and child care providers in our community. She was also a member of the SEIU Local 500 Board of Directors and president of LCAM for two years.

Nuri also belongs to several community support associations in which she works hard to ensure the well-being of our children and the Hispanic community. Nuri has been nationally accredited and NAFCC certified since 2010 and currently maintains Level 4 in the Maryland State Credential and the Maryland EXCELS program.

LCAM is constantly announcing classes that are essential for our license renewal, other classes that improve the provider's qualifications; it also informs us of grants, business management, any changes in childcare regulations, and other topics. Most importantly this organization serves a Spanish speaking community of providers in our own language.
